COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) has named Jessica Hazel as organization director for Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake and Trumbull counties in northeast Ohio.

In her position, Hazel will work as a liaison between the county Farm Bureaus and OFBF. Her primary duties will be to work with the county Farm Bureaus to involve, develop and enhance leaders while managing objectives to improve the effectiveness of the organization.

Hazel comes to OFBF from Phoenix, Ariz., where she has four years of automotive industry experience in customer service management and relations. She has extensive knowledge in event coordination, promotional events, customer service and employee training programs.

The Huron County native is a former OFBF state fair intern and holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communication from Ohio State University, where she co-chaired the Scarlet and Gray Day, an effort which annually educates hundreds of Columbus inner-city youth about agriculture.

"Jessica has a strong background in customer service, marketing and promotion. This, combined with her Farm Bureau experience as an intern, will make her a valuable asset to Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake and Trumbull county Farm Bureaus," said OFBF Senior Director of Field Communications John Wargowsky.
