Peterson re-elected President of Ohio Farm Bureau FederationPublished on 11/30/2007 For Immediate Release COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Bob Peterson of Sabina was re-elected president of Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) during the organization’s annual meeting Nov. 28 to 30 in Columbus. He also was re-elected as District 19 trustee for the organization, where he has represented Farm Bureau members in Clinton, Greene, Fayette and Warren counties since 1995. Peterson first became active in the Fayette County Farm Bureau in 1984 where he held several leadership positions and served as county president from 1990 to 1992. He and his wife, Lisa, received the American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) Young Farmer and Rancher Award in 1992. He is also a member of the AFBF board of directors. Peterson farms with his father and brother, producing corn, soybeans, wheat, hay, hogs and beef cattle. He is a Fayette County commissioner and is involved with various church and 4-H activities. He and Lisa are the parents of three children. Peterson graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in agriculture. Ohio Farm Bureau Federation is the state’s largest farm organization. First organized in 1919, its current membership stands at more than 230,000 including more than 60,000 farmer members. The organization is influential in public policy and public relations, working as an advocate for Ohio’s farm families, as well as providing various other member benefit services.
