Montoya named Ohio Farm Bureau organization director

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) has named Christy Montoya the organization director for Butler, Hamilton, Montgomery and Warren counties in southwest Ohio.

The Farmersville resident will act as a liaison between the state and county Farm Bureaus, where she will work to involve, develop and enhance leaders while managing objectives to improve the effectiveness of the organization.

Montoya was most recently operations manager of Lucky Auction Company, Inc. and a substitute teacher for Bishop Leibold Schools. She has been a licensed goat judge since 1997 and has judged at the county, state and national level.

She serves on the Our Lady of Good Hope Parish council, the Montgomery County Livestock Board and is a 23-year member of the American Dairy Goat Association. She is a 1997 graduate of Ohio State University, with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture.

"Christy has a diverse experience in agriculture, management, education and volunteer work that will help her succeed in this new position," said OFBF Senior Director of Field Communications John Wargowsky.
