Top government and political leaders featured on Town Hall Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - Dozens of legislators and policy makers met with hundreds of Ohio farmers for the annual Ag Day at the Capitol event in Columbus recently; highlights of that day-long meeting will be featured this week on Town Hall Ohio.

Included in the show will be a pre-primary discussion of state politics with two state representatives, Republican Matt Dolan and Democratic Party Chairman Chris Redfern. Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher addresses Gov. Strickland's budget cutting measures as well as the bond proposal aimed at job creation. Ohio Farm Bureau President Bob Peterson talks about farmers' role in the political process, and Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Robert Boggs explains his recent ruling on state milk labeling laws and addresses some public concerns about the safety of large livestock farms.
