COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - Andy Doehrel of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and Dale Butland of the Coalition for Healthy Families debate the paid sick days proposal this week on Town Hall Ohio.

The “Healthy Families Act” would mandate paid sick leave for certain employees in Ohio. Proponents are seeking action in the Ohio General Assembly, or alternatively, would place the initiative on the November ballot.

Butland and Doehrel, in pointed debate, argue the proposal’s implications for workers and business, jobs and the economy and individual and public health.

Doehrel is president and chief executive officer for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce; Butland serves as communications director for the Coalition for Healthy Families.
