COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - Bioproducts may be at the heart of an industrial revolution in Ohio, which will benefit workers, businesses, consumers and farmers. This week’s Town Hall Ohio will focus on farm products such as soybeans, which hold the potential to replace or supplement many of the petroleum-based products that are now a part of our everyday lives.

Guests on this week’s broadcast include Stephen Myers of the Ohio BioProducts Innovation Center, Tom Fontana of the Ohio Soybean Council and Jeff Cafemyer of Battelle. They will discuss how “green chemistry” is being used to create plastics, lubricants, cleansers, printing supplies and fuel. Bringing Ohio’s polymer and agricultural industries together holds huge promise in addressing economic, energy and environmental issues.
