Town Hall Ohio to highlight protection of seniors’ financial interests

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - Predatory insurance sales practices aimed at senior citizens will be discussed this week on Town Hall Ohio. Mary Jo Hudson, director of the Ohio Department of Insurance, Barbara Riley, director of the Ohio Department of Aging and Kevin Baron, associate vice president of government relations for Nationwide Insurance will explain some of the more common deceptive practices and how to avoid becoming a victim.

A focus of the program will be Stranger Originated Life Insurance, a dangerous practice which is being addressed by pending legislation in the Ohio General Assembly. The guests also will share insights into Medicare, Medicaid and Long-Term Care Insurance. State sponsored assistance programs also will be covered.
