Ohio Grape Industries Committee Announces Photo Contest
REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio ) – This holiday season, take time to enjoy and explore Ohio’s wineries while putting your photography skills to good use during the Ohio Grape Industries Committee’s photo contest. “This photo contest encourages Ohioans to venture out and enjoy the state’s wineries with friends and families during the holiday season,” said Ohio Agriculture Director Robert Boggs. “The photos captured for the contest will help educate consumers about one of Ohio’s award-winning industries.” Pictures must be submitted by Feb. 28, 2010, and may include scenic vineyards, charming tasting rooms or simply friends and families enjoying their favorite Ohio wines. Turn-by-turn directions to the more than 125 wineries across Ohio are available at www.ohiowinesonthego.com. The Ohio Grape Industries Committee will award the top-five photographers with a gift basket filled with Ohio food and wine valued at $100. All photos may be used by the Ohio Grape Industries Committee for promotional purposes. Photo contests rules include: • Entrant must be at least 21 years old. • Entrant must be the original photographer. • Contest is open to amateur photographers only. • Photos must prominently feature Ohio wineries and/or Ohio wines. • Entries must be postmarked by Feb. 28, 2010. • No more than five photos per household may be submitted. • Photos must be submitted as digital images burned to a CD and must be a minimum of 300 dpi. • No computer-aided adjustments to photos. The Ohio Grape Industries Committee, established in 1981 by the Ohio General Assembly, is chaired by the director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture. The committee works to create viable, income-producing grape enterprises in the state through marketing, promotion and research.
