COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Gov. Ted Strickland, House Speaker Armond Budish and Senate President Pro Tempore Tom Niehaus are the featured guests on this week’s broadcast of Town Hall Ohio. The three Ohio officials were participants in the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s (OFBF) annual Ag Day at the Capitol legislative rally.
The three state leaders will discuss education reform, state budget challenges and other current policy issues.
Also during the program, Ohio Director of Agriculture Robert Boggs talks about the impact of budget cuts on food safety protections. Ryan Augsburger of the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association critiques Ohio’s laws allowing citizen initiated legislation. OFBF First Vice President Steve Hirsch and OFBF staff member Adam Sharp explain the organization’s public policy activities and its current priority issues.
