COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – A detailed discussion of the H1N1 influenza virus will be held on this week’s edition of Town Hall Ohio. Featured guests will be Dr. Tim Buckley from Ohio State University’s College of Public Health and Dr. Richard Slemons of OSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Also appearing are Dick Isler of the Ohio Pork Producers Council and Sara Morman from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).
Buckley and Slemons will help listeners better understand the disease, bring perspective to the threat it presents, analyze mitigation efforts and offer insights into related human and animal health topics. Isler will explain the impact on the nation’s pork industry due to the disease initially being associated with the swine industry. Morman talks about calls to the ODH public hotline and offers flu prevention tips.
