USDA is re-establishing the Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee to examine the full spectrum of issues facing the fruit and vegetable industry and to provide suggestions to USDA on how programs can be tailored to best meet the challenges of the industry. Committee membership will consist of up to 25 members from the industry, including fruit and vegetable growers, shippers, wholesalers, brokers, retailers, processors, fresh cut processors, foodservice suppliers, state agencies involved in organic and non-organic fresh fruits and vegetables, state departments of agriculture and trade associations. The Secretary will appoint members for 2-year terms. Nominations should describe and document the proposed member’s qualifications for membership and include their name, title, address, telephone and fax number.
