Burkett re-elected to state Farm Bureau board

CINCINNATI, Ohio (OFBF) – Frank Burkett III of Massillon has been re-elected to the board of trustees for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF).  He represents Farm Bureau members from Columbiana, Mahoning, Portage and Stark counties. 

Burkett first joined the board in a special election in May 2007. He will now serve his first full three-year term and will help govern the state’s largest general farm organization. 

As a member of the Stark County Farm Bureau, Burkett served as a board trustee, policy development chairman and farm tour chairman.  He serves on the Stark County Dairy Committee and is a past board member for Ohio Dairy Producers.  He and his wife, Christina, are members of Rivertree Christian Church.

Burkett, in partnership with three uncles, co-owns and manages Clardale Farms, Inc., a dairy and crop operation. He received a bachelor’s of science degree in agriculture from Ohio State University with a major in agricultural systems management and a minor in agricultural economics.

Burkett was elected during the 91st annual meeting of the Ohio Farm Bureau held Dec. 2-4 in Cincinnati.
