The Pickaway County Visitor’s Bureau is working with a committee of area residents and business owners to discuss the possible formation of a Pickaway County Farmer’s Market in downtown Circleville, according to Visitor Bureau director Charlie Jackson. The committee includes Sue Bialy, Brent Rhoads, Jenie McGrath, Connie DeWeese, and Jon Bialy.
The Farmer’s Market Committee is seeking input from interested parties, including vendors and area residents. They are finalizing a survey form to help determine the level of interest in such a market, as well as the best time and day for it to be held. The Committee is also seeking input concerning the types of products that would be sold.
Anyone interested in becoming involved is encouraged to call the Pickaway County Welcome Center at (740) 474-4923, or (740) 474-3636, or to stop by the Center, located at 325 W. Main Street in downtown Circleville, during regular business hours between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The Center is also open on Saturdays, except during major holiday weekends and special events, between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
The Pickaway Farmer’s Market Survey form will soon be available at the Welcome Center and from participating area merchants. It can either be dropped off at the Welcome Center, mailed to 325 West Main Street, Circleville, OH 43113, or faxed to (740) 477-6800.
