COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Ellen Joslin of Sidney was re-elected to her third three-year term as a state trustee for Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) during the organization’s annual meeting Dec. 1 to 3 in Columbus. She represents Farm Bureau members in District 10, which consists of Auglaize, Logan, Mercer and Shelby counties. Joslin originally joined the Farm Bureau board in 2000 as Northwest Women’s Trustee.
She and her husband, Rob, produce corn, soybeans and wheat. She has been a Farm Bureau member for 28 years and has held numerous leadership positions within the organization. She also has been involved with other farm groups including the Ohio Soybean Council. Additionally, Joslin is active with various local and regional land use organizations. She attended the General Motors Institute and Edison State College and graduated from Urbana University with a bachelor’s in organization management. The Joslins are the parents of one child.
Ohio Farm Bureau Federation is the state’s largest farm organization. OFBF is influential as a public policy advocate and in public relations for agriculture. Its mission is to forge a partnership between farmers and consumers.
