March is a busy time of year for county Farm Bureaus across Ohio.
While the weather isn’t quite ready for spring planting to begin, it often warms up enough to get farmers itching to get out in the fields. March is a time of excitement and anticipation for what the upcoming growing season will hold.
It is also a time when farmers are able to gather for their common good, and also share who they are and what they do through events and opportunities to connect with local communities. Below is a long and active list highlighting opportunities Farm Bureaus throughout Ohio have to offer for the month of March and further into the year. For more details, click the links provided with each listing.
Farmers Share Breakfasts
Many county Farm Bureaus hold annual breakfasts for the community, known as “Farmers Share” breakfasts. Members of the local community are invited to come out and enjoy a full breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, pancakes and other staples of a hearty breakfast for mere pennies. Why so inexpensive? What you pay for the meal represents the portion of the cost of the entire breakfast that is received by the farmers who produce it. Come out and enjoy a good meal while also learning a bit more about your county Farm Bureau and the farmers in your community.
Here’s a list of which county Farm Bureaus are holding Farmers Share Breakfasts, and when they’ll take place. Click the county name to get details on time and location.
