My name is Gary Gerber; I’m married to Cari, and we have three children, Kelli, Lauren, and Clayton.
We live in Wayne Township in a small town called Jacksonburg. I own a farm with my dad, Jerry Gerber, that I have farmed on for my whole life. We farm around 2,000 acres, where we raise corn, soybeans, wheat and hay. We raise 140 cows with calves and also have 400 cattle in feedlots that are fed for beef. I am a member of the Edgewood FFA Alumni, Ohio and Butler County Cattlemen’s Association, and the Butler County Jr. Fair Sale Committee.
Throughout the next month, I will be writing a diary for you to follow and experience the life of a farmer in Butler County. Follow me for the next month to see what I do everyday.
