Oil and Gas Leasing Informational Meetings
As oil and gas exploration increases across the state, many farmers and rural landowners are being approached about leasing their land for drilling. Ohio Farm Bureau’s Dale Arnold has been traveling the state, sharing what folks need to know prior to making any decisions on leasing offers. Feb. 5 – Medina County Farm Bureau will be matching donations made to local FoodBanks at a special event at Buehler’s.
Feb. 9 – Muskingum County Farm Bureau is providing the latest information on ODOT rules and regulations affecting trucks and farm equipment.

Feb. 13 – Western Ohio farmers are invited to an update on the new Ohio Livestock Care Standards. Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board members will be on hand to discuss the new standards affecting all farmers in Ohio with at least one farm animal.
Feb. 14 – Darke County Farm Bureau’s Women’s Committee is hosting its annual community blood drive.
Feb. 16 – Just in time for tax season, Guernsey County Farm Bureau hosts a Farmland Tax Workshop.
Feb. 17 – Hamilton County Farm Bureau to host Legislative Luncheon at Montgomery Inn Boathouse.
Feb. 25 – Why are some farmers and rural landowners seeing noticeable increases to taxes on their farm land? Mahoning County Farm Bureau offers answers in this CAUV informational meeting.
Feb. 25 – Hamilton, Montgomery and Warren County Farm Bureaus invite local young agricultural professionals to a night of snow tubing at Perfect North Slopes.
Feb. 28 – Clark County Farm Bureau to host Estate Planning Informational Meeting.
Feb. 28 – Defiance, Fulton, Henry and Williams County Farm Bureaus invite members on a Greek Town Casino and Cabela’s Bus Trip.
March 14 – Mahoning County Farm Bureau to host program on Ag Law and Regulations and Ag Safety.
March 16-18 – Mercer County Farm Bureau Art Project, Through the Lens, to showcase the visual side of local agriculture during this special community presentation.
March 24 – Miami County Farm Bureau invites the community to partake in its annual Farmer’s Share Breakfast. Come enjoy a full breakfast for jut 50 cents, and help the hungry as well during the event.
June 19-22 – Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky and Wood County Farm Bureaus invite members to take a bus trip to tour John Deere’s World Headquarters in Illinois and more.
