COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Callie Wells has been named communications specialist by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). She’ll contribute to the organization’s web and multimedia team, focusing on communications through OFBF’s website, e-newsletters and participation in social media. She also will write and do photography for Our Ohio magazine and Buckeye Farm News, Ohio Farm Bureau’s consumer and farm publications.
Wells grew up in rural Butler County. She is a graduate of Ohio State University with a dual degree in animal science and agricultural education and is nearing completion of her master’s degree in agricultural communications also from Ohio State. She’s a volunteer for local and state 4-H programs and is active with a local FFA Alumni organization.
According to Pat Petzel, vice president, communications for Ohio Farm Bureau, Wells will be an important part of carrying out a priority expressed by members. “The online conversation is growing everyday and our members want us to be a part of it. Callie will help us listen to and talk with a rapidly growing community.”
