WHAT:           Ohio Farm Bureau Federation Ag Day at the Capitol

                      Ohio farmers, legislators and guest speakers meet to discuss priority issues for 2012

WHEN:          Wednesday, Feb. 15, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (detailed agenda below)

WHERE:        Sheraton Downtown Columbus, 75 East State Street, Columbus, Ohio

WHO:            Nearly 400 farmers, lawmakers and guests will discuss taxes, energy issues, water quality and nutrient management, elections and the 2012 Farm Bill.  Featured speakers include Hillsboro Mayor and comedian Drew Hastings and ODA Interim Director Tony Forshey.

Drew Hastings is a well known and popular comedian with Ohio roots. A few years ago, he moved back to Ohio, settled in Highland County and purchased a farm. He was recently elected mayor of Hillsboro, Ohio. Although a funny guy, Hastings has spread the message that agriculture and political advocacy are no joke. Hear him share why he is passionate about agriculture, public policy, and politics.
