Get a taste of American Agriculture at the Hocking County Fairgrounds, during the fourth annual Ag Days celebration, presented by the Fairfield and Hocking County Farm Bureaus.
This year there will be a variety of more than 70 exhibitors, displays, tournaments, competitions, entertainment and activities for kids, fun games and livestock exhibits.
Beginning Saturday at 9 a.m. we will have a welcome from OFBF President, Steve Hirsch. Then enjoy the rest of the weekend by exploring our displays. You will witness agriculture in action: Sawmills buzzing, black smiths hammering, and hit and miss engines roaring. Popcorn, cracklings, soup beans and honey can be sampled, and farmers will be intrigued with the equipment brought in from Kreager Tire, Shaw Ag, Foltz Ag, Seneca Steel and JD Equipment.
Ag Days is a time to bring families together. It’s a learning experience with agriculture. You can see how farming used to be as well as what agriculture has become.
For small children, there will be a livestock exhibit and, Farm Bureau games, a soil activity, face painting, a sawdust coin find and bird feeders they get to take home.
This event is free of charge to you!
Sunday at 10 a.m., there is a church service.
