Mahoning County Farm Bureau member, Henry Nemenz received the 2012 Pinnacle Award from the Ohio Grocers Association. The award -two given each year- is based on the nominees’ operational excellence and involvement in their communities. Nemenz has stores in three counties in Ohio & Pennsylvania and has helped to raise more that a $1 million for local charities during his career. Henry continues the work of his father, who came to this country 83 years ago speaking no English, and opened a small grocery store, specializing in meats, with his wife and giving their children responsibities in the business. Nemenz has a reputation for treating his employees, shoppers and community with respect and has long supported the agriculture community by purchasing local produce during season and also supporting the Canfield Jr. Fair Livestock Auction.
