Carroll County Farm Bureau will be sponsoring the Agriculture Educator’s Award again this year for elementary/middle and high school teachers in the Carroll County schools. The winner selected will receive $200 to use in his or her classroom and will be recognized at the annual meeting in August. Agriculture is an integral part of Carroll County’s economy. The award is an opportunity to educate our children about the food, land and people that grow the food they eat and the fact that the United States has one of the most affordable, safest and plentiful food supplies in the world.
Last year’s Ag Educator Award recipient was Nicki Gordon-Coy who teaches in the Sandy Valley Schools.
