Jefferson County Farm Bureau will be sponsoring the Agriculture Educator’s Award again this year for teachers who teach in the Jefferson County school system. The winner selected will receive $250 to use for the purchase of agricultural materials to use in the classroom and will be recognized at the annual meeting in September.
Agriculture is an integral part of Jefferson County’s economy. The award is an opportunity to educate our children about the food, land and people that grow the food they eat and the fact that the United States has one of the most affordable, safest and plentiful food supplies in the world.
A teacher may be nominated by anyone, including him/herself. To access an entry form, click on the application link, contact the County Farm Bureau at 740.266.6603 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Application deadline is Aug. 1.
