Warren County officials anticipate the adjustment of the Current Agriculture Use Valuation (CAUV) on Warren County farm ground. In most cases, these adjustments will become effective for the taxes due in February 2013 and are generally expected to increase.
Ohio Farm Bureau has lead the fight for CAUV in Ohio, beginning with the statewide referendum in 1973 and the first CAUV legislation in 1974. Since that time, Ohio Farm Bureau has steadfastly supported the CAUV program, which as resulted in substantial savings to Ohio farm owners for almost four decades.
The adjustment to Warren County CAUV values will be based upon a formula established by the Ohio Dept. of Taxation, and applied by the Warren County Auditor, to determine the tax due on your CAUV property.
To help you better understand this complicated tax process, Warren County Auditor Nick Nelson and the Warren County Farm Bureau will present a CAUV Information Night:

In addition to representatives of the County Auditor, attorneys from the Legal Education Department of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation will be on hand to explain the CAUV valuation process. These speakers from the Ohio Farm Bureau are some of the most knowledgeable and experienced experts on CAUV in the state.
More information will be available at the Farm Bureau booth at the Warren County Fair, the annual meeting and in a special notice that the Warren County Auditor will send out to all CAUV landowners in mid-September.
