The U.S. House of Representatives is considering the 2012 Farm Bill and Ohio’s Representatives need to hear from you how important it is to pass a Farm Bill this summer. Passage of the Farm Bill is critical because it preserves crop insurance and safety net programs for farmers. These programs are especially important now as we face drought conditions and possible significant yield decreases. The Farm Bill helps protect farmers while ensuring a stable, affordable and secure food supply for our nation. The Farm Bill is a win-win in that it’s a true reform bill that’s fiscally responsible and it gives Ohio farmers the needed stability to make decisions on how best to operate their farm. Call or e-mail your U.S. Representative and tell them we need a 2012 Farm Bill!
