Agriculture in Our Backyard

Area “Green Thumbs” show off skills to highlight their county at The Ohio State Fair

Local greenhouse and florist owners had the chance to showcase their home county at this year’s Ohio State Fair. This was a statewide competition as all 87 County Farm Bureaus were invited to participate. The project was aptly named, “Agriculture in Our Backyard” and was focused on showcasing Ohio’s diversity when it comes to agriculture. Each county was given a large pot in which to display the uniqueness of their individual county. The pots were displayed at the Ag-Hort Building in Columbus. Community involvement galvanizes support for Farm Bureau.

Next time you are supporting one of these excellent local businesses make sure to tell them what great job they did!
