Cuyahoga Farm Bureau was well represented at the Ohio Farm Bureau (OFB) Annual Meeting held in Columbus November 28-30. Cuyahoga Farm Bureau President David Peth and delegates Gayle Hansen and Joyce Peth attended to the business of the organization, reviewing policy brought before the delegation of 341 members representing their counties across Ohio. Water quality, taxation and energy development topped the policy issues addressed.
A highlight of the event was a speech from Gov. John Kasich, who then took questions from the delegates. Three outstanding leaders in Ohio agriculture were honored with Distinguished Service Awards presented by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). County Farm Bureau volunteers were recognized for the exceptional work by County Farm Buerau committees through the County Achievement Awards program. A silent auction to benefit the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation was held on Thursday evening.
Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s 94th Annual Meeting wrapped up on Friday, November 30 with delegates setting the organization’s policy positions for the coming year and included the annual election of the organizations member leaders.
