BBQ popularity has hit Tuscarawas County! Put delicious meat together with a few educational opportunities, friendly competition, lots of family fun and we’ve got a Burnoff! A great way to work side by side with our consumers to promote safe, healthy delicious proteins in our diet, the Burnoff will be held May 3 and 4 at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds. Proceeds from the event will benefit Hospice of Tuscarawas County.
The Camp Meigs BBQ Bootcamp and Burnoff will be a two day event. The first day will be kids day with lots of interactive fun for kids and families as well as set up for the competing BBQ teams. BBQ teams are for professionals and amateurs alike. Prizes will be awarded for Chicken, Ribs, Pork & Brisket. There will also be a Peoples’ Choice Award given – $3,000 in total cash and prizes! There will be a commercial vendor area on Saturday along with the competition.
