Carroll County Farm Bureau will again be sponsoring an Outstanding Educator Award to a teacher who teaches Carroll County students. Award is based on teachers who use agriculture in their curriculum during the school year. At our annual meeting in September, the chosen recipient will receive a $200 cash award to use as they see fit as well as a certificate recognizing them for their achievement. The award is used as an opportunity to educate our children about the food, land and people who grow the food they eat and the fact that we have one of the most affordable, safest food supplies in the world. Attached is an entry form to be used to nominate teachers in your school system. A teacher may be nominated by anyone, including him/herself. Deadline for submitting entry to the county Farm Bureau office is June 15, 2013.
