Fairfield County Farm Bureau celebrates the diversity of Fairfield County agriculture with Seasons Showcase. Friday, Aug. 9, the county will be hosting an on-the-farm dinner at Rawn Dairy Farm, Lancaster, featuring all locally produced foods, artfully pieced together by an acclaimed local chef. Join your friends and neighbors and take in the views of this state-of-the-art dairy farm, which offers one of the most spectacular views of Lancaster available.
In addition to a multicourse dinner and a souvenir glass, filled with locally produced wines, you will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with the farmers who produced all the items being served. These farmers, in addition to other agricultural professionals, will be available to answer any questions you might have about how your food is raised and how important agriculture is to Fairfield County.
No presentations or speeches, just conversations with your neighbors over multiple courses of locally produced foods at a local farm; a true celebration of Fairfield County.
