Ed Cross named to STEM school board

Ed Cross, long time Farm Bureau member,  highly respected agriculture business owner and agronomist, has recently been named to sit on the new Global Impact STEM school boad in Springfield, Ohio. Cross comes from a commercial vegetable, grain,and livestock farm and currently owns his own business meeting agronomic needs of farmers. Through his own experienes, he has a working knowledge of what is needed to succeed in today’s education system.   

Through his business, he supports the youth of several counties through 4-H and FFA and his company is a sponsor of the Ohio No-till Council, the Tecumseh Land Trust, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. He is a member of the Ohio Agribusiness Association (OABA) and is a long-time member of Farm Bureau. He has also been involved with the Ohio Director’s Agricultural Nutrients and Water Quality Working Group, working to find solutions for Ohio’s water quality issues. As well as being a businessman, Cross is a nationally Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and widely respected for his knowledge of crops and agricultural practices. He has worked in many aspects of the agricultural business, from many different perspectives,and knows what qualifications are needed to succeed in the business of agriculture.
