Landowners in 23 counties with property enrolled in the current agricultural use valuation program (CAUV) will likely again see an increase in CAUV values.
We know our members are concerned about the way CAUV values have continued to increase, so we want to ensure members understand the program and the calculation. Ongoing policy development discussions are sure to include concerns about CAUV, especially in those counties which recently experienced a reappraisal or triennial update.
I hope you can join me to learn about the CAUV program and the calculation that is used to value farmland through one of our online meetings on the following dates:
All meetings will begin at 7 p.m. and will include a chance for members to submit questions to be answered live. Ohio Farm Bureau has also made these online meetings available to county auditors who wish to use them as a part of a public meeting to discuss the CAUV program.
These meetings are FREE for Ohio Farm Bureau members, but you must fill out and submit the registration form below to attend.
Counties that will see new CAUV rates on the 2013 tax bill arriving in January include:
- Reappraisal: Carroll, Champaign, Clark, Fairfield, Logan, Marion, Medina, Miami, Ross, Union, Wyandot.
- Triennial Update: Adams, Columbiana, Hancock, Hocking, Holmes, Lawrence, Meigs, Monroe, Paulding, Scioto, Tuscarawas, Washington.
