The Ross County Farm Bureau wants to help promote a Quilt Trail in Ross County. The trail helps promote historic sites, recreational facilities and the pride of Ohio farms. A committee, in cooperation with the Chillicothe-Ross Convention and Visitors Bureau, is trying to establish a trail in Ross County. We hope the members of the Farm Bureau will help our efforts by encouraging participation by displaying quilt signs on barns that are visible from county roads. The quilt sign must be on a building and be visible from county roads without trespassing on private property. The suggested size is 4’X4′. The cost to a have a quilt put on your barn is $150-$200. The deadline to be included in 2014 brochure quide is May 1, 2014. You can go to http://www.greenfieldhistoricalsociety.org to view some of the quilts. If you are willing to participate in the Ross County Quilt Trail by displaying a Quilt sign on your barn please contact JoAnn White at 740-649-4337 or Sharon Cryder at 740-253-8908.
