Forms available for online filing include those for forming a limited liability company (LLC) in Ohio, renewals for trade or fictitious names, biennial reports for professional associations or limited liability partnerships, as well as statements of continued existence for nonprofit corporations.
These forms represent approximately 50 percent of all filings received by the Secretary of State’s office in 2012.
Businesses can file electronically via the Secretary of State’s Ohio Business Central online, after creating a profile to access the secure site. Once logged in, users can select from the available options, provide payment for filing fees and manage their account.
“Modernizing government is good business. Virtually all businesses today expect to interface with their customers through online technology and they need the government agencies they deal with to be technology savvy as well.” ~ Ohio Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Andrew E. Doehrel
