COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – John Mossbarger of Washington Court House has been re-elected to the board of trustees for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). He will represent Farm Bureau members from Clinton, Fayette, Greene and Warren counties in the governance of the state’s largest farm organization. Mossbarger first joined the board in February 2010, to fill an unexpired term. This is his second election to a full three-year term.
Mossbarger, along with his father and brother, own and operate Midland Acres, a Standardbred horse farm. He is also a large animal veterinarian. He is a 13-year member of the Fayette County Farm Bureau and served as its president. He is a director of the United States Trotting Association, a director of the National Federation of Independent Business and formerly served as president for the Ohio Standard Breeders Association and Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association.
He is a graduate of Ohio State University where he received his bachelor’s and doctor of veterinary medicine degrees. He is a member of Grace Methodist Church. Mossbarger and his wife, Kyle, are the parents of two adult children and have six grandchildren.
Mossbarger’s election took place during OFBF’s 95nd annual meeting held Dec.4 to 6 in Columbus.
Ohio Farm Bureau is the state’s largest and most inclusive farm organization. Its mission is to forge a partnership between farmers and consumers.
