To All Participants of the Farmer’s Share Breakfast held at the Shelby High School on February 22,
On behalf of the Farm Bureau Board, the Farmer’s Share Breakfast committee and myself, I would like to personally take this time to thank you for your help and participation that made this year’s Farmer’s Share Breakfast a HUGE success.
It was through all these great efforts that we were able to raise over $1600 that we will be passing along to some local food pantries within the county. As well we served more than 600 people a nutritious meal. According to individuals who were involved with past breakfasts, this is a record.
This would not have been possible without all the hard work that everyone put forth. Our morning started early, but I can honestly say it seemed as though the end came very quickly. My grandmother used to tell me “many hands make short work of something” and this was proven on that morning.
From the people who helped to set up or tear down, to the people who cooked, cleaned or served, to those manning the informational booths, each facet seemed to compliment the other. As well it seemed to keep things lively and flowing and added an educational element to the festivities.
I feel certain that it would not have been nearly as much of a success if it were not for all of the volunteers that I encountered. I also think our future is bright if we continue to build on the strong foundation that has been forged for us. Last and certainly not least, I would like to also thank all the people who came out, donated to our cause & ate with us. This strong showing of community support is greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for all your support!
