In February, Crawford County Farm Bureau held its annual Farmers’ Share Breakfast. The cost of the meal represented the share of the food dollar that returns to the farmer.
The event would not have been possible without the help of the Wynford FFA. Appreciation is also extended to Wyandot Tractor, Hord Livestock, Crawford County Humane Society, and the Crawford County Cattlemens, who staffed educational displays.
New this year, Farm Bureau donated a portion of each meal’s proceeds to area food banks, who, like Farm Bureau, are committed to feeding others. $100 donations were given on behalf of local farmers to the following food outreach programs: Epworth United Methodist Church; Bucyrus, Tiro UMC, Lighthouse Men’s Shelter, and Trinity Lutheran Church; Crestline.
