Each year the Lucas County Farm Bureau awards several scholarships to our members. This year’s winners include:
Kathryn Barney winner of William Carstensen and Walter Heilmann Scholarships—Kathryn is the daughter of Eugene and Jeannette Barney. She is senior at Anthony Wayne High School where she has received many scholastic honors along with being involved with FFA. Kathryn plans on attending Ohio State ATI and major in Livestock Production.
Andrew Teet winner of Kenneth Bostelman and RaymondCedoz Scholarships—Andrew is the son of Rich and Cindy Teet. He is a freshman at Ohio State majoring in Animal Science. Andrew is looking to secure a job in the livestock industry.
Mara Momenee winner of Lucas County Farm Bureau Scholarship—Mara is the daughter of William and Erin Momenee. She is a freshman at Ohio State majoring in Environment, Economy, Development and Sustainability. After completing her degree she would like to help revitalize abandoned urban core (i.e. Detroit).
Rachel Momenee winner of Lucas County Farm Bureau Scholarship—Rachel is the daughter of William and Erin Momenee. She is planning on attending one of several universities and work on her Master in Architecture. Upon complete of her degree she wants to become a licensed architect and work for a firm that does both research and design.
