The Sandusky County Farm Bureau offers two $750 scholarships each year to assist a 2014 graduating senior. To qualify for a scholarship, the recipients must have a parent who is a member of the Sandusky County Farm Bureau. The student must reside in Sandusky County and graduate from an accredited high school. This year’s scholarship winners are Fremont residents Kyle Lamalie and Grant Mercer. Both young men have very deep roots in the farming community.
Kyle, son of Bill and Lisa Lamalie, is involved in a variety of agricultural activities including 4H and FFA. Kyle will graduate from Fremont Ross High School this spring and plans to continue his education at The Ohio State University where he will study International Business.
Grant, son of Thomas and Annette Mercer is involved with 4-H and was selected as the Sandusky County Fair King in 2013. This spring Grant will graduate from St. Joe and will continue his education by pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Geriatrics at the University of Toledo. Congratulations!
