Matt Hiser and Lindsay Hudgell Win 2014 Cecil Huston Scholarships

The Cecil Huston Farm Bureau Scholarship awarded a $500 renewable scholarship to Matt Hiser.  Matt is a graduate of Greeneview High School and plans to continue his education at Ohio State University where he will study animal science.  During his high school career, he excelled scholastically, participated with honors in FFA showing hogs, sheep/goats, market steers, tractor safety, and even participated in the Ohio State Fair cooking projects.  Among Matt’s many talents, he was active in basketball and was also was known as “The Singing Voice of Jamestown”.  Matt is the son of John and Pam Hiser of Jamestown.

The Cecil Huston Farm Bureau Scholarship awarded a $500 renewable scholarship to Lindsay Hudgell.  Lindsay is a graduate of Cedarville High School and is attending Ohio State University where she studies agricultural communications.  During Lindsay’s high school career, she was active in track, cheerleading, and  key club.  She was also busy showing fair animals that included market hogs, market steers, feeder calves and participated in showmanship.  Lindsay chose great names for almost all of her projects.   Lindsay is the daughter of Rich and Cheryl Hudgell of Cedarville.
