July 26 First Responders’ Training & Farm Safety Day

Lorain County Farm Bureau will be hosting a First Responders’ Training and Farm Safety Day that is open to members and the public to attend on Saturday, July 26, 2014 starting at 9 am and going until approximately 3 pm.

Lorain-Medina Rural Electric in cooperation with their sister cooperative; South Central Power will be holding one live line electric hazard awareness demonstration at 10:30 am.  This will only be done once.  Other safety displays and demonstrations will be The Ohio State University on grain bin awareness and Ohio Utility Protection Service on utility safety.

Training and farm safety day will be held at Gordon Farms located at 43191 Jones Road, Wellington. Lots of great safety information will be presented at this day!  It’s never too late for more helpful safety tips & tricks.

We currently have a wait list for Grain Bin Rescue Training that Ohio Fire Academy will be conducting for the local firefighters.  If you would like to add you name to the wait list, in case we get a cancellation, please call the Lorain County Farm Bureau office at 1-866-859-2415.
