Join Carroll, Harrison, Jefferson and Tuscarawas County Farm Bureaus for Straight From the Heart, an informative day of fun, learning and fellowship in the heart of Amish Country Oct. 4.
Experts will share information on a variety of topics that matter most to women. The morning keynote speaker is Kim Davis. She resides with her husband Todd and their three children on an Angus and Simmental beef cattle farm in Carroll County. Davis is a cancer survivor, having been diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer in April 2013. Her story is one of determination and courage.
The lunch keynote speaker is Dr. Chinyere Orafu, a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist with a special interest in laser technology and aesthetics. Orafu is well known for her attention to detail as well as her caring attitude toward her patients’ needs.

The evening concludes at the Carlisle Inn with “Half-Stitched, The Musical,” the hit musical that asks: What could possibly go wrong when an Amish widow decides to teach a weekend quilting class? Throw in a biker, a Marine, a quarrelsome couple, and a few more crazy characters and see what happens.
