On December 16 New Bremen FFA, advisor Maria Homan, hosted a viewing of the FARMLAND movie by James Moll. The viewing was a great success with more than 125 in attendance.

The FARMLAND movie is a journey through the seasons with six young farmers across the U.S. We follow them as they go through the joys, struggles and growth of working on their farms during a year. The film is a moving portrayal of life on modern family farms and the people who run them, while helping the viewer understand what it takes to grow America’s bounty.

Special thanks to New Bremen FFA and their advisor, Maria Homan for hosting the event, New Bremen Schools for use of the Dicke Auditorium, and Farm Credit Mid-America for donating napkins and cups. Also, thanks to our discussion panel, Rick Tangeman, Auglaize Co. Farm Bureau president, Dr. Mark Hardesty, DVM Maria Stein Animal Clinic, and Greg Homan, Wright State University Lake Campus Associate Professor in Agriculture.
