Live, silent auction raises money for foundations

Buckeye Farm News

The 9th annual Rural-Urban Community Auction raised more than $10,000 for Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation, Animals for Life Foundation and the Ohio Center on Agricultural Law, Inc. at Ohio Farm Bureau’s 96th Annual Meeting. The auction includes a silent portion that is run before the meeting online and throughout the meeting. There also is a live portion of the auction held at the meeting.

It has become tradition for OFBF President Steve Hirsch to put one of his own holiday ties in the live auction during themeeting. This year his tie raised $1,600.

Auction proceeds will be used to support grant, public outreach and scholarship programs. Auction items and packages were donated by Farm Bureau members and friends, allied organizations and partners who support our philanthropic and service programs.
