The Washington County Farm Bureau will conduct a membership rally on Monday, January 26, 6 p.m., at Meadowbrook High School, Byesville, OH. The party will include dinner, prizes, and entertainment. Reservations are required. The speaker for the evening will be Dr. Larry Antosch, Senior Director of Policy Development and Environmental Policy, OFBF.
“Everyone is invited to attend,” said Allen Clark, Washington County president. “During the event we’ll discuss membership opportunities. It’s a great way to get involved with your community, support your local farmer and have some fun!”
Betsy Anderson, Organization Director, will lead the membership event and provide volunteers with support materials, how-to techniques and other information. The rally will also review member benefits. The goal is to arm volunteers with information they can use to answer questions about the organization.
A newoffer this year will be a drawing for a 2015 Polaris 4 Wheeler. Each member signed will earn the volunteer a ticket in the drawing on March 17.
“Getting involved in Farm Bureau is more than just fun.” Clark said. “You can gain leadership experience, become more involved in the community, make new friends and voice your opinion on local, state and national legislative policies. There’s something for everyone.”
