Farm Bill Panel Discussion & Kick-Off

Huron County and Lorain County Farm Bureaus will be holding their volunteer membership kick-off to their campaign Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 at 7 p.m.

Still have questions about Farm Service Agency and the new Farm Bill programs? 

Speakers will be Mike Gastier, extension educator with Ohio State University–Huron County; Diana Strouse, county executive director at USDA (United States Department of Agriculture)-Huron/Erie Farm Service Agency; and Adam Sharp; vice president of public policy at Ohio Farm Bureau. Meeting will take place at Camdem Township Complex, 50679 St Rt 303, Oberlin.  Corner of St Rts 511 & 303.  

Lorain County Farm Bureau and Huron County Farm Bureau leaders are active on state and local action teams working on legislation, regulations and issues that impact agriculture and its relationship with rural, suburban and urban communities. Locally, over 6,330 member families belong to Lorain County Farm Bureau and 1,305 member families belong to Huron County Farm Bureau.
