Each year, AgriPOWER Institute helps 20 individuals develop the skills necessary to become effective leaders and advocates for agriculture by learning from experts. Designed specifically for farmers and agribusiness professionals, the yearlong program focuses on public policy issues confronting agriculture and the food industry.
The program consists of seven multi-day institutes
(17 total days) covering public policy matters facing local communities, the state of Ohio, the nation and the world. Additionally, specific sessions help class members develop important skills necessary to become effective leaders and advocates. One session will be held in Washington, D.C. to help class members gain an understanding of national and global issues, and another session will be held in another part of the state to give participants a greater perspective of U.S. agriculture.
Applications are due April 17.
