Each year, for your benefit, the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation sponsors educational programs dealing with safety in the agriculture workplace. These programs are important for all Farm Bureau members and workers’ compensation employers in the program – large and small.
One very important aspect of reducing Workers’ Compensation premiums, and to protect our Farm Bureau members, is to reduce the number of claims/accidents we have each year. This can be accomplished by every member doing his/her part to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. To help make these safety seminars more accessible to you, many county Farm Bureaus are sponsoring local meetings. The following are meetings scheduled in your area:
- Thursday – March 26 at 9 a.m. – Farm Bureau Office, 100 Colonel Dr, Barnesville
Topic – Hearing Safety – Bureau of Workers’ Compensation
- Friday – April 24 at 6 p.m. – Cassell Station Firehouse, 4500 Peter’s Creek Rd, Cambridge
Topic – Hearing Safety – Bureau of Workers’ Compensation
- Saturday – July 11 – Barlow Fairgrounds
Safety Day with Washington County SWCD
Your attendance at a county sponsored seminar will meet your requirements as outlined in the agreement to participate in the OFBF Group Rating Program. You are encouraged to bring along your spouse, manager, or employees who can benefit from the session.
Please call the county office 740-425-3681 to make your reservation or if you have any questions. We look forward to your participation.
