The Jefferson County Farm Bureau is excited to announce that we will be sponsoring an Agriculture Educator’s Award again this year for teachers who teach in Jefferson County school districts. The Jefferson County agricultural group will select one Pre-Kindergarten – 6th Grade teacher to receive this award based on that teacher’s use of agriculture in their curriculum during the school year. This teacher will receive $250 for use toward agricultural materials for use in their classroom.
Agriculture is an integral part of Jefferson County’s economy. We hope to use this award as an opportunity to educate our children about the food they eat and the impact agriculture has on the world, as well as to encourage our teachers to educate students about agriculture.
All teachers in Jefferson County who teach Pre-K – 6th grade students are eligible. Download an entry form here, or contact your building principal!
