#1 Special Olympics – Ohio State Equestrian Competition, Saturday/Sunday Aug. 15 & 16 at Winton Woods Riding Center Winton Woods Riding Center is the only Special Olympics Equestrian training program currently approved in Hamilton County, Ohio. WWRC Special Olympics program provides year-round training and competition opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. 14 Ohio Special Olympics equestrian teams bringing 73 athletes plus their equine partners will compete for two days in a variety of equestrian classes at the Winton Woods Riding Center, 10073 Daly Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 (513)931-3057. Admission to equestrian competition is free, a motor vehicle permit is required to enter the park. $3/day/$10/year.

#2 HC-OHC Ice Cream Social and Horse Daze presentation Monday, Aug. 17, 7 p.m. -9 p.m. at Fernald Nature Preserve
You are invited to attend the Hamilton County Ohio Horseman’s Council’s Ice Cream Social, tour the Fernald Preserve Visitor Center and hear founder Bill Ison speaking on the topic of “Horse Daze”. Horse Daze is a one day, free to the public, community service horse event co-sponsored by Butler County Ohio Horseman’s Council and Metro Parks of Butler County where local horse owners and lovers volunteer their time, equine expertise and the use of privately owned horses to provide those unfamiliar with horses the opportunity to have a “close encounter” with a horse and learn more about equine husbandry through multiple teaching stations. Celebrating it’s 4th year, Horse Daze is being held Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. -3 p.m. at Sebald Park, 5580 Elk Creek Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042. FMI: (See Attached Flyer)
#3 156th Annual Harvest Home Fair and Horse Show, Sept. 10-13, Cheviot
The Harvest Home Fair and Horse Show has been sponsored by the Cheviot-Westwood Kiwanis Club since 1939 and a core group of stalwart horse enthusiasts work very hard to put on a nice three day horse show. (see horse show flyer attached) 2015 Harvest Home Fair
